QR17 Oratorio (Oratory)

The access to the oratory is located in this same gallery through a wood door with mouldings and there is a small window on each side.

Next, a stairway ascends to a grille window, with a wood frame and glass doors to respect the worship in the Church. This place is a tribune or palco privado (private box seat) located over the choir of the Church: Iglesia de la Asunción de Nuestra Señora. From this site, the Lords of Alaquàs were able to attend the religious services which took place in the temple without the need to mingle with the rest of the town population. As we have stated above, it was built between 1692 and 1694.
